BUNNELL – A celebration of Veterans Day took place in Bunnell last weekend, bringing together every municipal government in Flagler County and numerous other participants to pay tribute to America’s retired soldiers. The festivities kicked off with a parade down SR-100 in Bunnell, followed by ceremony at the Government Services Building down the road.

Looks like it was a good time for all. I couldn’t attend though.
The only problem I see and it is one of my biggest pet peeves is that when someone wants to display the American Flag (especially on Veterans Day) you would think the organizers would DEMAND respect and fly the flag with proper Etiquette. When hanging the flag from above as they did over the street they need to use a 2 sided flag so no matter what side the flag is viewed the UNION (stars) are always in the upper left hand corner. Disrespectful at it’s best, especially on Veterans Day.
