The Flagler Auditorium will be welcoming the Dallas String Quartet for a performance on Friday, April 11th. The group’s performance of their “Strings Unleashed” act will be the penultimate listing on the Auditorium’s 2024/25 event calendar.

Active since 2007, the Dallas String Quartet has risen to become one of the most prestigious and well-known acts in their field of music. Career accomplishments include shared gigs with Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Chicago, plus performances for U.S. presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. In 2021, they played at the wedding of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Combining Strings with the Hits

The arrangements of the Dallas String Quartet’s performances combine classical instrumentation with iconic contemporary songs to create appeal for aficionados of all varieties of music. Highlights from the group’s setlist include “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica, “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin, and “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. The group has also performed modern hits such as Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” and Katy Perry’s “Firework”.
