Palm Coast’s African American Cultural Society (AACS) is holding their annual Pyramid Players Golf Tournament next month, giving golf enthusiasts a chance to test their skills and support a good cause at the same time. The tournament is slated for Saturday, April 12th at the Pine Lakes Golf Club.

Registration will open for the tournament at 7:00 am, with a shotgun start to the action at 8:00 am. Entry to play will cost $100 per individual person or $400 per four-person team, and hole sponsorships will be available for $50.

The tournament will operate by a scramble format, placing participants into teams that work collaboratively for the lowest score. Each member hits their tee shot, and then all players hit their next shot from where the best shot was placed. The team’s overall score is determined by the best ball from amongst its players.

Those in attendance will receive a goodie bag, and will have the opportunity to purchase a $20 add-on Game Day Pass which gives them two mulligans, ten raffle tickets, and a forward tee on the fifteenth hole. Prizes will be given out to teams with the lowest gross, lowest net, closest shot to the pin for men and women each, the winner of a putting contest, and a series of door prizes.

Once the tournament concludes, there will be a luncheon and awards ceremony in the Clubhouse Restaurant in which the top tournament participants will be spotlighted, as well as a celebration of the benefits from the event toward the African American Cultural Society.

Those interested in entering are encouraged to visit the AACS’s website for more information. Further contacts include Melinda Morais at (386) 569-5102, Ralph Lightfoot at (386) 864-1510, or the AACS office during business hours (10:00 am to 2:00 pm) at (386) 447-7030.
