PALM COAST – A man was arrested in Flagler County on Saturday for allegedly pulling a gun after getting into a two-vehicle accident, police say. The incident occurred at Palm Coast Pkwy and Colbert Ln in northeast Palm Coast.
45 year-old Samuel Kranz is said to have collided with a second vehicle on Saturday, leading to a verbal altercation between the two drivers. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office says that Kranz at some point drew a Sig Sauer P365XL handgun during the dispute.
When police determined that Kranz drew his weapon, he was placed under arrest. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, a felony charge. From Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon he was held at the county jail on $5,000 bond.
“Once again bad decisions made the crash into a felony arrest and a trip to jail,” said Sheriff Rick Staly in a statement following the arrest. “If you are involved in a crash control your anger and actions.”
