Flagler County Announces Holiday Closures & Schedule Changes

The Flagler County government has announced a series of closures and schedule changes set to go into effect for the holidays. Several of the county’s offices and facilities will have adjusted hours to account for Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Flagler County Public Library

The Flagler County Public Library will be closing at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 24th. It will then remain closed all day on Christmas Day and Friday, December 26th. Normal hours will resume that weekend both at the Palm Coast library location and the Bunnell Library.

The libraries will then close again on Thursday, January 1st and Friday, January 2nd. Normal hours will resume on Saturday and Sunday.

Trash Collection – Unincorporated Flagler County

Solid waste collection schedules will be postponed for Christmas and New Year’s Day, but will still take place those weeks. Those in unincorporated Flagler County with scheduled pickups on Thursday, December 25th or January 1st will have their waste collected on the Saturdays directly after each holiday.

The Flagler County Hazardous Waste Collection Facility (1700 South Old Kings road) will be closing at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22nd. It will also close on Christmas Day and on New Year’s Day. Public Transit

All public transit in Flagler County will be closing operations on Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. On December 26th and January 2nd, the transportation system will run only to serve dialysis clients.
