Both Volusia and Flagler counties are slated to hold their much-anticipated Fourth of July celebrations on Tuesday, with both sure to be among their community’s most well-attended gatherings of the year. Both counties will have a parade and firework show, plus other attractions. Those wishing to attend either one should be advised on the details:
Volusia County
Daytona Beach’s parade will be held at 10:00 am on Main Street. It is organized by Volusia Veterans, paying tributes to the veterans and first responders whose sacrifices ensure their country’s freedom and security. The parade will begin on Main Street and Atlantic Ave, according to a release from the city government, before proceeding west to the Main Street Bridge. Optimal viewing areas are the sidewalks along Main Street.
The Daytona event will also hold a Veterans Ceremony at 9:00 am, Eagles tribute band concert at 7:45 pm at the Bandshell, and firework show at 9:45 pm.
Flagler County
Another parade will be held in Flagler Beach, also kicking off at 10:00 am. It will cover several blocks of scenic SR-A1A around Veterans Park, with optimal viewing locations being the sidewalks and park benches near the road. The Flagler Rotary Club is organizing the event.
A variety of other attractions will take place in Veterans Park until 5:00 pm, including a cornhole tournament, U.S. Navy Band, Kona Ice Brain Freeze Contest, and hula-hoop/limbo competitions. A firework show will be held at the Flagler Executive Airport in Palm Coast at 9:00 pm.

Not this year. The fire works are being shot off at the airport which is about 5 miles from the ocean. Besides any noise from the crowd heading to the beach today will be muffled being they are under water.

Great! Now all we need more good news about Flagler County, especially the Tree City USA, Palm Coast, the most interesting City of the North East of Florida.
