Palm Coast resident Kristopher Henriqson has been convicted of multiple child sex abuse charges and sentenced to nine life terms in prison. 48-year-old Henriqson was found guilty by a jury of the rape and molestation of his then-stepdaughter for three years.

The trial that resulted in Henriqson’s conviction lasted two days. He was found guilty on 11 total charges:

  • Lewd/lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 years old (4 counts)
  • Sexual battery on a victim 12 to 18 years old by a person in familial or custodial authority (3 counts)
  • Sexual battery on a victim under 12 years old (2 counts)
  • Lewd/lascivious battery of a victim 12 to 16 years old
  • Lewd/lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 16 years old

Henriqson was said to have abused the victim from the time she was nine years old until she was 12. The most recent instance is reported to have happened in early 2025. At that point, she told one of her teachers what was happening to her.

Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols presided over the case at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell. After the jury returned its conviction, she sentenced Henriqson to nine life sentences plus two 15-year sentences in prison.

Prior to his arrest last year, Henriqson only had two prior bookings in the county jail: failure to redeliver a hired vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, both in 2010. On February 12, 2025 he was arrested on 15 total charges – the abuse plus a marijuana possession and some related offenses. Henriqson has remained in custody ever since with no bond.

“A life sentence seems inadequate for the shocking number of rape and molestation convictions,” said State Attorney R.J. Larizza in a prepared statement. “There is no measuring cup for the pain and suffering of our child rape victims. The defendant got off easy in comparison.”
