The Palm Coast Fire Department is promoting Patrick Juliano to the position of battalion chief, the city government announced on Friday. Juliano first joined the PCFD since 2006, and has most recently worked with the rank of lieutenant.
“Patrick Juliano has dedicated his career to serving our residents with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to excellence,” said Palm Coast Fire Chief Kyle Berryhill. “His promotion to Battalion Chief is a well-earned milestone, and we are incredibly proud to have him as a leader in our department.”
Prior to joining the PCFD, in 2001 Juliano began his journey in emergency services with the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Westchester County, New York. He earned his New York State EMT certification in 2002, before joining the PCFD four years later.

For a brief period Juliano also worked as the Northeast Florida Regional Manager for Jett Atwater, the former Florida Chief Financial Officer (Florida’s CFO is also its State Fire Marshal). When Juliano returned to the PCFD in 2017, he was promoted to driver engineer in 2018 and lieutenant in 2021.
During his career Juliano has earned numerous other accolades and promotions. He obtained his firefighter and paramedic certifications from Daytona State College in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, and from Barry University with a Master of Public Administration. He’s certified as an Advanced Public Information Officer, allowing him to be one of the PCFD’s most qualified representatives for working with the media and spearheading communications.
Furthermore, Juliano is the PCFD’s grant writer, helping both the PCFD and other departments within the City of Palm Coast to obtain much-needed external funding. He’s the Commander of the Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard, a role in which he’s frequently seen at special commemorative events around town such as Memorial Day and the Tunnel to Towers 5K.
