North Carolina Fugitive Arrested in Palm Coast’s L Section

A fugitive from North Carolina was arrested this week by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, the agency announced Friday. 50-year-old Luis Sosa is wanted on sixteen sex offense charges, with the victim being a minor.

The warrant for Sosa’s arrest alleges a slew of heinous offenses. He’s charged with seven counts of sexual activity by a substitute parent or custodian, five counts of sex offenses by a person in a parental role, and two counts each of human trafficking of a child victim and taking indecent liberties with children.

Sosa’s Flagler County whereabouts were initially suspected by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina, near Charlotte. They contacted the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, informing them that they believed Sosa may currently be living in Flagler.

Though his recorded home address is in Mooresville, North Carolina, the FCSO says Sosa was residing on Lynton Place in Palm Coast. He was found by deputies while walking his dog on Wednesday, and placed under arrest. Sosa was booked into the county jail that day, and he remains there as of Friday on no bond.

“Just a few weeks ago we had a case where a pervert committed some terrible crimes against a child in Flagler County and was found in North Carolina, and now we have the opposite where this guy was wanted for some awful crimes in North Carolina and was trying to hide here,” said Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly. “In the North Carolina case, the local magistrate let him out on a very low bond and required we get a Governor’s Warrant. Now they want someone that’s in Flagler County and hopefully we are educating North Carolina on how fugitives should be handled. He’s being held on NO BOND pending his extradition to North Carolina. Fugitives beware; you can’t hide in Flagler County because law enforcement agencies across the country work together to track you down so you will be held accountable for your crimes.”

Charlotte is a cesspool of crime that is only encouraged by stupid prosecutors who let dangerous people out of jail. My daughter spent a semester there and came how because she didn’t feel safe. There was a murder in the adjacent apartment complex, a shooting down the street and homeless people camping out below her apartment window and the security officers said she had to call the police even though it was on private property. While shopping at Marshall’s a man walked out with a shopping cart full of clothes and all the cashier said was “There they go again.” Apparently it was a daily occurrence. Then of course there’s the murder of an innocent woman by a man released by a prosecutor with no law degree. This could be cleaned up with some proactive law enforcement but their system is run by idiots who are more concerned with the rights of criminals than innocent people.
