FLAGLER BEACH – The suspect in a string of anti-Semitic vandalism in Flagler Beach has been identified by the Flagler Beach Police Department. The agency revealed the name of their suspect in an announcement sent to local media late last week.
According to Police Chief Matt Doughney, the offensive graffiti reported in Flagler Beach was left by 70-year-old Liam Mackin. It took a matter of days to produce a name after statements such as ‘290,000 Child Killers’, ‘500,000 Jew Child Killer’, and ‘501,110 Jew Child Murderer’ were found spray-painted on local businesses. Doughney said Mackin specifically businesses under Jewish and/or Israeli-American ownership.
Mackin’s identity was produced by the work of FBPD Detectice Rosanna Vinci, with assistance from the FBPD’s Patrol Division and Civilian Staff, along with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office’s Real Time Crime Center. Although there are no known eyewitnesses, surveillance footage from along SR-100 and cooperation from Flagler Beach’s business community helped police in their detective work.
A warrant for Mackin’s arrest has been issued, but a potential obstacle could keep him out of custody: Mackin is an Irish citizen with a local address in Flagler Beach. Intelligence from the Central Florida Intelligence Exchange indicated Mackin is now back in Ireland, with no known return date to the United States. Now he’s publicly tied to a series of hate crimes, the chances of his return seem slim. Mackin is currently charged with criminal mischief over $1,000, evidencing prejudice while commiting offense.
“Should this criminal attempt to re-enter this country at any border crossing, airport, etc., he will be arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant so he can answer to his crimes,” Chief Doughney said. “There are many beautiful shades of green in Ireland, and if he has the courage to return, I’d love for him to see the Flagler County Inmate Facility; better known as the Green Roof Inn.”

What a coward. Hope he never plans on coming back being he faces 15 years behind bars if convicted, and rightfully so. He definitely will loose his passport to ever be able to travel again if he returns.
Maybe he just went back to Ireland to say good bye to his parents (if they’re still alive) or any other family he has there knowing he’s going to jail for a long time and might not make it out before he dies.
