Clinton Walker, a 41-year-old motorcycle gang member, was arrested this week in connection to a massive brawl and shootout that occurred at a New Smyrna Beach gas station last week. The incident occurred on Saturday at the RaceTrac station on SR-44, and is associated with the 2025 running of Daytona Beach Bike Week.
The brawl happened in broad daylight, as a group of bikers were congregated at the RaceTrac station. Eyewitness video appeared to show arguments within the crowd before the dispute turned to blows. Multiple bikers were seen punching and kicking others amidst the scuffle, and eventually a series of gunshots rang out. Thankfully, no bystanders were injured. Multiple injuries from within the fight were reported. Both were non-life-threatening.
Though most of those who participated in the brawl fled the scene before law enforcement, Walker was arrested and booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on Saturday. He was charged with inciting a riot, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm in public. Walker’s bond was set at $75,000, and he posted it to be released on Sunday afternoon. Records show Walker is a resident of Bradenton in Manatee County.
Walker is associated with a biker gang known as the Mongols, who reportedly have a base of operations in Edgewater. Their dispute on Saturday was said to be with the Warlocks, a rival gang. Walker was found in the immediate aftermath of the brawl driving his Chevrolet pickup truck in Oak Hill, and was subsequently taken into custody.
One member of the Warlock gang was said to have taken a bullet graze to the side of his head, a Mongol was hospitalized for a gunshot wound to the stomach, and another Warlock was clobbered over the head with nunchucks, according to a report from the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
