The much-anticipated return of the Palm Coast Fire Department’s annual Hall of Terror haunted house will be arriving later this month, per an announcement from the city government on Thursday. On Halloween and the before, scare aficionados of all ages will have the chance to experience a free, hand-crafted haunted walk-through in a transformed fire station.
The 23rd annual Hall of Terror will be open for visitation on October 30th and October 31st, running each night from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Those who venture out should expect a sizable crowd, as attendance seems to push new records each year the firefighters operate their attraction.
“The Hall of Terror has grown in attendance each year and we are happy to be able to continue [to] provide a fun, safe way for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the Halloween season,” said Palm Coast Fire Chief Kyle Berryhill. The Hall of Terror was started under his predecessor, retired Fire Chief Jerry Forte in 2000. It missed only one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The event is located at Fire Station 21 (9 Corporate Drive), just off Palm Coast Parkway SW. There will be food trucks on each day, with Kona Ice and Wandering Hoagie present on Wednesday the 30th and Cool Beans BBQ and Sheila’s Funnel Cakes there on Thursday the 31st.
A limited number of ‘RIP’ tickets are being offered, with the holders being able to fast-track the line and get quicker access to enter the Hall. Those looking to obtain a RIP ticket are told to follow the City of Palm Coast’s Facebook from October 21st to 25th where daily horror film trivia questions will be posted and winners will have the opportunity to win a ticket.
