Not really sure what the organizers are thinking on this. One of the excuses that I heard was because they didn’t have enough parking by having a parade. That’s BS because the past years they still had parking on the streets of the parade route. If they’re thinking about the pandemic and large crowds gathering, they will still have the large crowds, (this year anyway) gathering and walking all together to look at standing floats. I think it’s just another way of taking away from the people of Palm Coast and IMO I think it’s a dumb idea. It’s a lot more fun for everyone with a moving parade than a standing decoration display.

Another useless comment toward the article.
However let me be more specific. I was mainly referring to the elderly who have a hard time walking (and some young once as well). With this not being a moving parade it limits the people with walking problems to see everything. With a moving parade the elderly can walk a short distance from their car and sit along the road and watch the entire parade go by. But with this years stationary display they will not be able to see everything because they will not be able to walk the entire distance. So hence the comment in my first post, “taking away from the people of Palm Coast”. But then again, maybe that’s what the organizers are planning. Keep people home so there isn’t much to deal with.
Oh and by the way BM
