Businessman Ramon Marrero announced his candidacy for the Palm Coast City Council’s District 4 seat, joining a field of four candidates competing for the position.
Marrero will face Darleene Shelley, John Thomas Kvederis and Dylana Justine Galery in the race.
A U.S. Army and National Guard veteran, Marrero owns MOTANO Productions in Palm Coast and previously worked as a substitute teacher. His campaign cites 40 years of experience in public service, finance and community leadership.
Marrero said his candidacy centers on managing the city’s growth.
“Palm Coast is a city full of opportunity, hardworking families, and proud neighborhoods,” Marrero said. “I am running for City Council because I believe residents deserve leadership that listens, acts responsibly, and always puts the people first.”
Marrero serves as president and founder of the Hispanic American Cultural Society in Palm Coast and belongs to the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He also served on the city’s most recent Charter Review Committee.
His campaign will focus on growth, public safety, infrastructure, fiscal accountability, support for local businesses and government transparency, according to the release.
“Our city needs practical leadership with real-world experience,” Marrero said. “I have spent my life serving others, solving problems, and working hard. I am ready to bring that same commitment to the Palm Coast City Council.”
