Will Furry, the incumbent District 2 representative on the Flagler County School Board, qualified for the ballot through the petition process, his campaign announced Tuesday.
Furry gathered the required number of verified signatures from registered voters in the district, securing his spot without paying a filing fee. The petition route requires candidates to collect signatures from a set percentage of registered voters in the area they seek to represent.
Furry has held the District 2 seat for four years.
“I put in the work to qualify — just like I’ve done every day over the last four years serving this community,” Furry said. “I didn’t take shortcuts then, and I’m not taking them now. I believe in showing up, listening, and doing the job the right way.”
Furry said his re-election campaign will focus on academic outcomes, teacher support and oversight of taxpayer dollars.
