Palm Coast Woman Arrested for Alleged Relations with Minor

26-year-old Palm Coast resident Angel Sexton was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor. The victim, a 13-year-old boy, was reportedly subjected to various inappropriate actions by Sexton in December.

Records show that the victim was reportedly visiting Sexton with other family members over the holidays, and that the boy was related to Sexton through marriage. The encounters allegedly involved kissing, rebuffed attempts at oral sex, and sexual intercourse. Text messages exchanged between the two later on in January reportedly had Sexton telling the victim that she would break up with her husband to be with him when he turned 18.

The issue was first reported to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on January 14th, activating the Major Case Unit led by Master Detective Darrell Butler. Over the course of the investigation, Butler and the MCU came to the determination that Sexton had preyed on the victim and continued communicating inappropriately with him for 16 days. One message to the victim allegedly had Sexton telling him that, at 16 years old, he could come to live with her.

Another family member reportedly discovered the text conversations on a government-issued phone being used as the family phone. These conversations are said to have alluded to romantic interactions between the two, and upon asking the victim about it the family member was told that the two engaged in brief sexual intercourse against a shed in the backyard. After speaking with other family members, the reporting party took what they’d been told to the FCSO.

Sexton was brought in and interviewed by Butler, along with Cpl. Michael Breckwoldt about her accused relationship with the victim. According to the FCSO, she initially denied any sexual activity. An arrest affidavit states that Sexton described a more light-hearted, ironic romantic banter between the two. She then later reportedly admitted to the full extent of actions that she’s accused of. Sexton was charged with lewd/lascivious battery, and arrested in St. Augustine on Wednesday. As of Thursday afternoon she is still in custody at the county jail on $25,000 bond.

“It’s sickening to see a person take advantage of a child half her age and engage in a highly inappropriate and illegal relationship,” Sheriff Rick Staly said about the case. “These cases are never easy, and I commend our Major Case Unit for their hard work to quickly make an arrest before she could continue her illegal behavior.”

What in the world is wrong with adult having relations with kids? Are they that desperate to get attention because they can not get it from someone their own age? Sick. This 13 yrs old isn’t thinking with the right head. Just think what would happen if the Angel got pregnant, how is a 13 year old going to help support the kid. He doesn’t know how to support himself let alone a kid and the mother. She should be allowed any bail, period.
