Flagler Beach’s Historic Pier to Reopen Friday

After a 73-day closing imposed by the coronavirus emergency, Flagler Beach’s Historic Pier reopened today. Restrictions are still in place, such as a limit to 50 people on the pier at one time. Markings will be present throughout the Pier to showoff social distancing respect to others. The Pier will be open again from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.

Plans are additionally in place for a 1,000-foot concrete pier that could be built within the next three years. The plan is still on the desk of Flagler Beach’s city manager Larry Newsom. To date, the city has secured $10.8 million for the project. The project total has been estimated at $14 million.
