Flagler County government offices closed for Fourth of July holiday

June 28, 2022 – Flagler County governmental offices will be closed for several days in observance of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

All offices – Board of County Commissioners, Clerk of Courts and Comptroller, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Tax Collector – will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Some offices are taking additional days off. They are as follows:

  • Friday, July 1 – the offices of the Tax Collector and Supervisor of Elections are closed.
  • Tuesday, July 5 – the offices of the Board of County Commissioners, the Property Appraiser, and the Tax Collector are closed.

All offices are open on Wednesday, July 6.

    There is more to this story on why the offices are closed for such a long period for the 4th of July. For all years prior the offices were closed on a Friday or a Monday depending on what day the 4th was on. It was never closed for more then one day. Wonder what’s up?
