FCSO Arrests 6th Flagler Fugitive in Partnership with VCSO

The FCSO partnered with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) and conducted surveillance of the hotel. With the assistance of VCSO, Tillman and Tagliaboski were taken into custody and arrested. A search of the hotel room found 13.8 Grams of Methamphetamine. This makes 6 total fugitives that VCSO has assisted FCSO with taking into custody this month alone.

“I want to thank the VCSO for their assistance in getting more fugitives and drugs off the streets,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “These two are career criminals who have been given chance after chance to turn their lives around but would rather keep breaking the law and peddling their poison on our streets and in neighboring counties. I hope this is another example to criminals that if you break the law in Flagler, you cannot avoid arrest by skipping town. We will find you and you will go to jail.”

Tillman and Tagliaboski are both well-known repeat offenders in Flagler County with criminal histories dating back to June 2010.

Tillman’s criminal history includes Resisting Arrest with Violence, Grand Theft, Burglary of a Dwelling, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Dealing in Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Buprenorphine.

Tagliaboksi’s criminal history includes Retail Theft, Possession of Counterfeit Money, Resisting Arrest with Violence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

“Our deputies are always ready to assist our partners in Flagler, and we know they’re standing by to do the same for us,” Sheriff Mike Chitwood said. “If you’ve got a warrant and you cross the county line, all you’re getting is a ride in a different patrol car.”

Matthew Tagliaboski and Margaret Tillman were transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail. Tagliaboski is charged with Violation of Probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions and is being held on $11,000 bond.

Tillman is charged with Violation of Probation for Possession of Cannabis, Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell and Violation of Pre-Trial Release and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
