The Flagler Auditorium’s 2024 season is underway, and an exciting tribute group is set to hit the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center stage on Friday, November 15th. David Brighton’s Space Oddity: The Quintessential David Bowie Tribute Experience will take to Palm Coast’s largest music stage this month to perform the songs of the legendary rocker David Bowie.
Space Oddity has been one of the most acclaimed Bowie tribute acts over the two decades it’s been in existence. The show has been performed all around the globe, with concerts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Finland, Germany, Estonia, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Portugal, Israel, New Zealand, and China according to a press release.
Brighton himself, the show’s centerpiece, has experience performing alongside his on-stage muse in real life. Brighton and Bowie appeared in TV commercials for Vittel Mineral Water and for the CD release of Bowie’s 2003 studio album Reality. In the Vittel commercial, Brighton portrayed Bowie in several iconic fashion moments from his career, to the apparent amusement of real Bowie.
“David Brighton has the voice, moves and look to actually step in for David Bowie if he were unavailable and few would ever know,” said Harry Maslin, producer of the Bowie albums Young Americans and Station to Station. “Experiencing ‘Space Oddity’ made for a truly remarkable evening.”
Tickets for ‘Space Oddity’ cost either $54.00 or $64.00 through the Flagler Auditorium’s online purchasing portal, depending on their location in the venue. Doors will open at 6:30 pm on Friday the 15th and the show is set to start at 7:00 pm. Sale of tickets has already begun as of Monday morning.
