Daytona’s Welcome to Rockville Announces 2024 Lineup

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The artist lineup for the 2024 Welcome to Rockville festival has been announced, and it’s likely the most stacked roster yet.  The festival takes place May 9th through 12th at Daytona International Speedway.

Though it would ordinarily be easy to list the major acts headlining a festival, the sheer quantity at next year’s festival makes even that hard. Some of the largest names include the Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Anthrax, Disturbed, Judas Priest, Greta Van Fleet, Limp Bizkit, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, the Stone Temple Pilots, and Evanescence. Dozens of other hard rock bands are included as well, with more names due to be announced next year.

Since the announcement in 2019 that Welcome to Rockville would be moving from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach, it has become the area’s foremost music festival, especially where hard rock is concerned. The festival is also one of the biggest draws at Daytona International Speedway, which is increasingly becoming a multi-use facility.

Also of note in the 2024 festival is the return of the Foo Fighters. The band was slated to headline the 2022 edition, but had to cancel after the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Saturday’s festivities will be headlined by the Foo Fighters, with Greta Van Fleet and Primus just before them.

Welcome to Rockville has seen attendance increases by the tens of thousands each year since moving to Daytona, bringing in 170,000 attendees for last year’s event. For a festival that had just 10,000 in its first year, the exponential increases in attendance make it a raving success.

“We couldn’t be more excited to come back to Florida,” said Nikki Sixx, bassist of Motley Crue. “Welcome to Rockville is one of the biggest festivals in the world, and it’s going to be a highlight for us in 2024.”

“The record-breaking number of fans certainly proved that when it comes to rock music, there’s no place better than Daytona International Speedway,” said Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher. “This past Welcome To Rockville produced one of the most electric atmospheres we’ve seen at The World Center of Racing, and we’re looking forward to welcoming all those fans back next year alongside a seriously talented lineup of performers.”

Welcome to Rockville passes are on sale now at the event’s official website.
