All three cities in Flagler County will be setting to Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday. The city governments of Palm Coast and Flagler Beach will be hosting theirs, and the Flagler County government is putting theirs on in Bunnell.

Leading off the morning is Palm Coast’s ceremony, held at Heroes Memorial Park on Palm Coast Parkway. Last year’s ceremony was well-attended and featured Flagler’s representative in Congress, Michael Waltz. There was no Mayor in office for last year, but this year will feature remarks from since-elected Mayor David Aflin.

My hats off to the men and women who have served this country so I can have the freedoms I have (well what’s left of them anyway) The only regret I have in my past 43 yrs is I didn’t join one of our military departments. So I salute those that did serve and pray for the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice to this country.
