The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is alleging that a Bunnell woman was hiding drugs on her person while being booked into the county jail, the agency announced Tuesday. 38-year-old Jenni Paris reportedly had multiple bags of drugs inside her clothing.

Paris was stopped while driving for allegedly failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign on Mahogany Blvd in Bunnell. After identifying her during the stop, deputies determined that Paris had an active arrest warrant in Volusia County for felony probation violation.

During the traffic stop Paris was arrested on her out-of-county warrant. She was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and was in the process of being booked in when deputies are said to have discovered her hidden drugs.

According to the FCSO’s description of the incident, Paris had multiple small bags of illegal drugs in her bra and in her back pants pocket. Analysis of the bags’ contents determined that they were fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. She was then issued further charges: one each of possession with intent to sell for the cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Tuesday she’s still in the county jail on $9,500 bond.

Previous Flagler County charges against Paris include fentanyl possession, cocaine possession, marijuana possession under 20 grams, and failure to appear for a felony summons. She also has several criminal charges in Volusia County, including fentanyl possession, retail theft, petty theft, reckless driving, loitering or prowling, and driving with a suspended license.

“Another case of looking beyond the traffic stop to catch a criminal with an active warrant and trying to hide her drugs,” said Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly. “Let this be a warning to criminals: If you come into Flagler County with a warrant, know that our deputies are ready to take you to the [county jail].”
