This City has lost their friggin minds….How can people own these totes when it has WASTE PRO on the side…They belong to the company…..No company is going to give away their property. These cost money…they were provided as a service for people who recycle…If you want to recycle with the new company then they should provide a tote…If you were anywhere else you would of been paying to RENT a tote and charged when you moved or changed trash companies for them to come and pick up your used tote. This city council needs to get over yourselves…You fired this company and you screwed over the taxpayers…Get off of Waste Pros back, give them THEIR property and let’s move on….Everything has to be Drama…Leave them alone, give them their property…Move On!!!!

I actually have one that says Wast Pro and one that has the Cityof Palm Coast (with logo) and Waste Pro below that.
I would love to read the contract(s) used over the years, including the initial contract.
And also, any legal disputes regarding bins Waste Pro may have been involved in previously.

Some say waste pro on them and others do not. Mine just has the recycle logo on it and they put it back on my property today after emptying it. But I’ll be there was some sort of hidden fee on our utility bill since the last increase from waste pro to have the tax payer pay for the bins because we all know nothing in this world is free. Especially when it comes from a government agency.

I have all kinds of items I own with company name and or logo on them. Unless there is an ownership statement, it is nothing more than free advertising without a contract indicating who paid for and owns them.
The contract should have had a clause clarifying who paid for and owns the bins. That, not a company name would dictate ownership.

It really doesn’t matter, my brother used to work for a garbage company, all garbage and recycling goes to the same place anyway. It’s all for show. Just throw out your “ recycling “ in the trash then. 🤷🏻♀️

It’s a ridiculous situation. Our illustrious city government has yet again stepped in it. They have made several messes in our city of late. There is the splash pad at Holland Park which by the way they have spent millions in legal fees to settle to no avail. They have approved development that our current infrastructure can’t handle. Do they think Belle Terre will handle all development. Two words – Impact Study. Also, let’s not forget how they treat local businesses.
How they handled the Green Lion debacle was shameful, disrespectful and unprofessional. The impact on the neighboring area is epic. Many residents in the area (many elderly) would have dinner there on a regular basis. Now Loopers is just a bar that serves food. It attracts drunks and bar flies, not exactly a pleasant dining experience.
On another matter, my question for them is since I’m not getting the service I pay for i.e. yard waste pick-up, now we will be charged if over 2 cubic feet, are they going to lower my bill? Dream on.
In closing, my message to the city council is don’t get to comfortable in those big chairs you sit in because you’ll not see another term. You’ve proven your not worthy to represent the citizens of Palm Coast. There is more to governing than getting your picture posted on FB on a regular basis.
