Principal Bozeman expressed gratitude at being given this latest accolade. “I am honored to represent Flagler Schools as Principal of the Year,” Bozeman said. “I am incredibly proud of the staff and students at Matanzas High School and our accomplishments over the past two years. I share this recognition with all of the Pirate Nation.”

Bozeman assumed the principal job at Matanzas High School (MHS) in 2022. Prior to starting in August of that year, she worked in the St. Johns County School District for over a decade. She began as a high school English teacher, ascending to assistant principal and later director of instructional personnel by 2021. She departed in order to start her career at Matanzas. Before, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and her Master of Arts from the University of North Florida.

Kraverotis’ career in Flagler School dates back almost two decades, with her starting as an English teacher in the district in 2006. She has held several posts within Flagler Schools over that time, including literacy coach, curriculum specialist, and later assistant principal at Matanzas High School. She started at Flagler Palm Coast High School in June 2022, and has been an assistant principal there ever since. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Education from Saint Leo University.
